Programme Overview

The Master of Science (Mechanical Engineering) programme by Taught Course extends the knowledge gained at undergraduate level and enhances professional skills in key areas of mechanical engineering. This flexible, stackable programme is offered through utm.aidan.work.

Students will engage in a balanced mix of core courses, electives, and a Master’s Project. With twelve (12) specialized tracks available, learners can select areas aligned with their professional interests and career goals. The programme aims to promote advanced study and applied research that supports technological advancement in the field of mechanical engineering.

Programme Structure

This programme consists of:

  • Three (3) core courses:
    • Research Methodology
    • Emerging Technologies and Management
    • Product Innovation and Development
  • Five (5) elective courses within the chosen specialization track
  • One (1) free elective from any track
  • Master’s Project relevant to the selected specialization

Each student must select one (1) track from the twelve (12) options before starting the programme. A minimum of five (5) students is required to open any track or elective course. Course availability is subject to coordination between the programme coordinator and the enrolled students each semester.

Track Synopsis
